Sandese Aate Hain Humein Tadpaate Hain To Chitthi Aati Hai To Poochh Jaati Hai Ke Ghar Kab Aaoge Ke Ghar Kab Aaoge Likho Kab Aaoge Ki Tum Bin Ye Ghar Soona Soona Hai .. Don't get scared, I am not writing poetry; that too in Hindi.. Thank god, I was out of school long back otherwise my Hindi teacher would have disowned me now. This day started with this song in my mind. I didn't know how it all started. This song is sung by the soldiers in the country border. They sing this on receiving a letter from home, where they ask when they would come home.  The song brings nice memories of home and people at home with fond memories of everything that brings happiness. As this song running in my head from morning, I receive a mail from my long lost friend who I thought disappeared from the face of this earth. On receiving the mail is when I was reminded of affirmations. I was thinking of letters during school days and the surprise of receiving a letter from your friend abroad o...

Finding your Happiness

Image
Perception varies person to person; similarly your happiness could be different from mine. This morning when I went out to my balcony, I saw a group of residents performing their morning yoga. On seeing that I was instantly transported to the days when I had attended residential yoga classes many years ago. My happiness did not stop for that moment alone, it spread itself beyond that moment making every as moment happiness felt. The fresh smell of coffee brewing and the idea of baking a coffee cake is my happiness for now. Happiness is all around us like a buffet spread where we fail to pick our  dish of happiness., Pick your happiness today and come back tomorrow to find more happiness.. Sunday happiness everyone.

Is Love a Taboo?

Image
Romeo and Juliet, Lyla Majnu, Ambicavathi Amaravathi and Shah Jahan & Mumtaz are greatest love stories from the history. We have been hearing love stories from our school days. We have even enjoyed watching love stories on big screens like Titantic, You've got mail, Pretty Woman, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil Tho pagal Hai and many many more. In ancient times love and romance were not taboo issues in India. Indian art forms like literature and sculpture promoted love and romance. Kings and Emperors encouraged adorning their harems. Kalidasa wrote three love based works ‘Shakuntla’, ‘Meghadhootam’ and Vikrama-Oorvashiyam’ still remembered for its elegance and imagination. Khajuraho sculptures stand as a symbol for love and sex and attracts tourists across the globe. They also show serenity and diversity of the Indian culture over the centuries. Sometimes we fantasize ourselves to have lived in that love story or to be loved that way at least for that moment. When we enjoy ...

A beautiful poem- I'm Malakul Maut

It was early in the morning at four, When death knocked upon a bedroom door. Who is there? The sleeping one cried. I'm Malakul Maut, let me inside. At once, the man began to shiver, As one sweating in deadly fever, He shouted to his sleeping wife, Don't let him take away my life. Please go away, O Angel of Death! Leave me alone; I'm not ready yet. My parents and family depends on me, Give me a chance, O please! The angel knocked again and again, Friend! I'll take your life without a pain, It is your soul that Allah requires, I come not with my own desires.. Bewildered, the man began to cry, O Angel I'm afraid to die, I'll give you gold and be your slave, Don't send me to the unlit grave. Let me in, O Friend! The Angel said, Open the door; get up from your bed, If you do not allow me in, I will walk through it, like a Jinn. The man held a gun in his hand, Ready to defy the Angel's stand.. I'll point my gun, towards your head, You dare come in; I'...
